Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Will this be a November to remember for Notre Dame?

November is here and this is typically when Notre Dame fans begin to freakout because it hasn’t always been a great month for Fighting Irish football. Last year, Notre Dame fell out of playoff contention as it went 2-2 during the month, including a blowout loss to Miami and another defeat to Stanford. The Irish finished 10-3 following a bowl victory over LSU. In 2016, things were bad. Notre Dame went 1-3 in November including losses to Navy, Virginia Tech and USC. The Irish were 4-8 on the season. In 2015, Notre Dame actually had a winning record in November at 3-1. Although, it should be noted that Notre Dame lost on the road at Stanford in the season-finale, thus eliminating any shot at the playoffs. The Irish beat Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Boston College that month as well. After a loss to Ohio State in the bowl game, Notre Dame finished the season 10-3.

247Sports and Irish Illustrated have been teaming up to create a ton of videos lately regarding Notre Dame football and Fighting Irish recruiting. The latest video features anchorman Kevin Boilard and Fighting Irish insider Tom Loy.

So, will this be a November to remember for Notre Dame, as it is already 1-0 this month after a win over Northwestern? Or will the Fighting Irish falter down the stretch in any of its final three games? We discuss.

“It’s an ongoing joke at We kind of laugh about the fact that Notre Dame seems to struggle in November. Brian Kelly has been harping on this the last couple of weeks. This is a completely different team. Leadership, top to bottom, both on offense and defense, it’s a completely different mentality. They are getting stronger as the game goes on and they seem to be getting strong as the season goes on. So, with games remaining against Florida State, Syracuse and USC, typically you’d think back and expect a let up at some point. Although, I don’t think that. With Ian Book leading the charge and the rest of these guys, I don’t see any slip-ups along the way and I fully expect a 12-0 record because, like I said, the leadership at the top.”
