A ton of former Notre Dame Fighting Irish football players were in action this past weekend, as week two of the 2018 National Football League regular season took place. There were a ton of one-time Fighting Irish players in the matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions, including defensive tackle Sheldon Day, wide receiver Golden Tate, wide receiver T.J. Jones, offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey and defensive end Romeo Okwara. Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith had a big statistical performance against the New York Giants. Indianapolis Colts offensive guard Quenton Nelson continues to look like the real deal. One television personality even took a shot at New Orleans Saints linebacker Manti Te’o during Sunday’s game.
All that and much more on these former Notre Dame Fighting Irish football players courtesy of Irish Illustrated and 247Sports.
