We’ve learned that wide receivers coach DelVaughn Alexander will be by the school on Monday. If timing works, he’ll be joined by cornerbacks coach Todd Lyght. Here is a look at the targets identified by the Fighting Irish football staff.
Four-star running back Nathaniel Jones has offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Florida, UCLA and Utah. The 5-11, 190-pounder form the class of 2020 is one to watch for Notre Dame moving forward. Another name to know is four-star wide receiver Kris Hutson. USC, Arizona, Colorado, Arizona State, Oregon and others have already offers. The 5-11, 160-pounder is ranked as the No. 315 overall recruit, No. 63 wide receiver nationally and No. 35 player in California from the 2020 class.
Three-star offensive tackle Drake Metcalf is an intriguing target. The 6-3, 270-pounder visited Notre Dame over the summer and continues to show a great deal of interest. It’s the clear the Irish will be tough to beat if an offer is extended. Regarding his offer list, Arizona State, Hawaii and Oregon have already pulled the trigger for the No. 18 offensive guard nationally from the 2020 class per 247Sports.
Lastly, four-star wide receiver Beaux Collins is a name Notre Dame fans should be familiar with. The class of 2021 recruit visited South Bend over the summer for camp and was one of the top performers. The 6-3, 185-pounder is still waiting for an offer from the Fighting Irish. His offer list includes Arizona, Arizona State, Florida, Florida State, Oregon, USC and many others. The Irish will have a shot if the offer comes sooner rather than later.
