With Notre Dame’s season officially over, it’s time for several impact players to decide whether to return to campus or enter the NFL Draft.
Although the Fighting Irish were dismantled by the Clemson Tigers over the weekend, this year was a success for Brian Kelly and his squad. Losing in the semifinal of the College Football Playoff shouldn’t erase the memories of an undefeated regular season.
However, it’s pretty evident that one star player on the Fighting Irish won’t let this recent loss be his final memory in South Bend.
Despite having a breakout season for Notre Dame, Khalid Kareem will not pursue his dreams of making the NFL just yet.
Kareem said “Can’t leave on that note,” on Twitter, which indicates that he’s ready for his senior season. The standout defensive lineman finished with 5.5 sacks, 11.5 tackles for loss and forced two fumbles.
Now, he’ll have the opportunity to boost his draft stock while also playing for another national championship in the process.
Here was his announcement on Twitter:

Notre Dame is expected to have another strong campaign in 2019, especially with Ian Book and Khalid Kareem still there.
The Irish will now wait for star cornerback Julian Love and defensive end Julian Okwara to officially announce their decision for the 2019 season.
