Later this month, Notre Dame will battle for the chance to reach the national championship. Until then, fans could get excited over the possibility of adding a potential-packed recruit for the class of 2020, in linebacker Jaheim Thomas.
Although there hasn’t been anything close to a final decision yet, Thomas has the Fighting Irish high on his radar. The four-star recruit has the physical gifts to become an absolute star in college. While he’s not ready to announce his commitment in the immediate future, he sounds very pleased about receiving an offer from Notre Dame.
It’s still early in his recruiting process, but Thomas was very complimentary about the Fighting Irish.
“I was very excited to get offered by Notre Dame, and I was hoping for this since I visited there last spring.”
“I haven’t really cut my list down yet, but my parents and I are working on it,” he said. “Notre Dame will definitely be in the final group. “I want to commit to someone next summer, but if not then it will be early in my senior season.”
Thomas is listed as the No. 16 outside linebacker in his class, per 247Sports.
Over the years, the Fighting Irish have featured stars at the linebacker position, which includes Manti Te’o and Jaylon Smith. Perhaps, Thomas can add to that long line of history, if he chooses to enroll at Notre Dame.
As of right now, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Bowling Green are also on his college list.
