In what suddenly looks like a legitimate threat to No. 3 Notre Dame’s perfect 10-0 SU record, the Fighting Irish go head-to-head with the No. 12 Syracuse Orange this Saturday at Yankee Stadium. Syracuse has climbed to No. 12 in the AP Top 25 with an 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS record.

The Orange have won each of their last four games and have covered the spread in each of their last three. Notre Dame is a 9.5-point favorite heading into this one.

The only other team in the Top 10 this Saturday that is on the road are the No. 9 Ohio State Buckeyes as a 17-point favorite at Maryland. Maryland is just 1-3 SU and ATS in its last four games against conference opponents while the Buckeyes have been the kings of the Big Ten with a 55-5 SU record in their last 60 conference matchups.

Despite their straight-up success this season, the Buckeyes are only 1-5 ATS over their last six games per the OddsShark College Football Database.

The rest of the nation’s Top 10 teams are all at home this Saturday in The Citadel at No. 1 Alabama, Duke at No. 2 Clemson (-27.5), Indiana at No. 4 Michigan (-27.5), UMass at No. 5 Georgia (-43.5), Kansas at No. 6 Oklahoma (-36.5), Arizona at No. 8 Washington State (-10) and Rice at No. 10 LSU (-44).

This week on paper looks to be the calm before the storm as next week’s rivalry week schedule is led by five games featuring two teams in the Top 25.
