With the focus on staying local to prepare for Clemson early this week, Kelly and Lea took advantage of the schedule and made the relatively short trip to Royal Center, Ind., to see Pioneer high school three-star linebacker Jack Kiser, who has been committed to the Fighting Irish since June 12. The 6-2, 215-pounder, who led his team to a state championship, chose Notre Dame over Indiana, Illinois, Michigan State, Duke and others. He will enroll early in South Bend and arrive on campus in January.
Although he played quarterback, linebacker and safety in high school, Kiser will suit up at linebacker for the Fighting Irish.
Per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Kiser is the No. 65 outside linebacker nationally and No. 12 prospect in Indiana from the class of 2019.
