Brady Quinn a Notre Dame legend

There was a quarterback in 2005 who had more yards than Matt Leinart, more touchdowns than Matt Leinart, less interceptions than Matt Leinart and who was also a year younger than Matt Leinart. Unlike Matt Leinart, he didn’t have Reggie Bush to bail him out of tough spots or help push him into the end zone.

Brady Quinn’s 2005 season was remarkable. His top receiver was a baseball player and his head coach was Charlie Weis, but despite these things he threw for just under 4,000 yards and 32 touchdowns. Quinn started off the season winning back-to-back games against ranked teams on the road. He led Notre Dame on an almost game-winning drive against USC and then took the team on a 5-game win streak into the postseason. Brady Quinn was really good in 2005, but since he wasn’t on Texas or USC, he kinda flew under the radar.

Don’t worry Brady, I haven’t forgotten.
