Book hits Weishar for the score; Notre Dame leads Vandy, 22-10

The second half has been quite sluggish for the Fighting Irish, but Notre Dame was able to find the end zone early in the fourth quarter. After a couple of field goals by Justin Yoon, Notre Dame held a 16-10 lead over Vanderbilt.

After a great drive by quarterback Brandon Wimbush, running back Tony Jones Jr. and the rest of the Irish offense, it was quarterback Ian Book who came into the game with the Irish at the 2-yard line. He dropped back, rolled to his right, and hit tight end Nic Weishar for the short score. After missing on the two-point conversion, Notre Dame now leads 22-10 with 11 minutes left in the game.

On the day, Wimbush is 13 of 23 for 122 yards. Book is 3 of 3 for 13 yards and a score.
